This year’s Brooklyn Book Festival is so popular that it is actually impossible to attend a party, and will probably be impossible to go to any of the panels because of the wall of bodies. Does this mean that literature is making a come back? I think that will depend on if anyone actually sells any books. After all, everyone attending is a writer. And trying to get my non-writer friends to go is like asking them to go to the library on a beautiful day — a tough sell.
I will be there tomorrow and attending some of the events if I can fit my body through the masses. No table this year, but I do hope to find a few good writers.
